Emotional Brilliance Lipstick, Decisive

Hiya!
Ok guys today I am trying my new Emotional Brilliance Lipstick in Decisive (thanks mum!). Ill be updating you on what I think about it, I have to say I am excited, I LOVE lipstick!

So the colour itself, I wanted for a long while along with a few others that I may or may not pick up in the near future.

Ok so at around 12 noon I applied the lipstick, first lined my lips as usual and applied the product with a lip brush, I didn't want to use the wee applicator that came with it as I felt I could control it better with the brush. It went on like a dream! The colour is beautiful! I normally go for a darker red but its not orangey so I like it! it feels like satin and doesn't seem to dry out my lips at all. All in all, loving it so far!

Now around half four, having dinner and tea, a rather sloppy dinner too so this was the real test for Decisive! And, well, it passed! A tiny bit wore off, but left enough that you barely notice without looking very closely. It faired much better than my other lipsticks which at this point would have all but gone, leaving a red ring around my mouth, all else worn off.

Its now about ten to seven in the evening. I've had two more cups of tea (I am a bit addicted) and just had a wee look in the mirror and its still fairly in place, it has leaked a bit over my lips, nothing a bit of liner wont fix but the colour is still strong.

It's now exactly one minute past eight and its now starting to fade from the inside of my lips. I'm going to stop here and reapply purely because my boyfriend and I are having drinks.

So there we go! All in all, I like it! I got mum to spin the Emotional Brilliance Wheel and she is itching to try some now too! Its definitely a good long lasting colour, today mine has lasted around eight hours, normally i would have done a wee touch up but for the sake of this I didn't. It didn't dry out my lips, it lasted a long time, the colour was great, a tiny bit of leakage but nothing that can't be dealt with. I like it! Oh, and apologies for the awful light it was the best picture I could get ha!

Cheers!

And on another note....

Hi guys!

Slightly off topic here, but I would like to introduce you to the new member of our family, little Alice!

I actually cannot believe how beautiful she is! Even though she did full on ninja me today when I was ignoring her!

Many more photos of her go up all the time on my Instagram @StKezziah

Cheers!

Hi guys!!

I'm just popping on to write a little post about Lush's Toothy tabs!

My first ever experience with them was this year. I got the Christmas Kisses gift set, which is full of lovely lip goodies (which I'm sure I'll mention here at some point). The ones in this gift set were the Chou Chou I Love You Toothy Tabs, which are rose scented... and flavoured. Basically, when I read this I nearly automatically went 'No'. But it's Lush so I really wanted to love them but seriously thought I'd met my match. The first time I tried these they tasted pure horrible, like a little tablet of perfume in my mouth. However, I was amazed how clean they made my teeth feel, and it lasted all day long even after eating! That night I used my regular toothpaste as I couldn't face them again. Day two I decided to have a go, they didn't taste as bad!!, super clean! Day three, even better! The taste no longer bothers me it just took a few goes to adjust to it.

After trying the Chou Chou toothy tabs, I really was converted. I just felt that something minty would be easier to use, more universal, not to mention the fact that the Dirty Toothy Tabs are a whole 95 pence cheaper than the others! The Dirty tabs are a spearmint tab, I have only just got my first packet of them and only used them once about ten minutes ago. Like the Chou Chou the initial reaction was strong flavour, but it wasn't so much the spearmint that was strong, it was more of a bicarb of soda taste, which is obviously a big ingredient. Anyone who has tried to whiten their teeth with pure bicarb (I only assume people do this as I have ha!) will know it's nasty! However, as I got stuck in with my toothbrush that taste went away and the spearmint took over, and its left a fresh minty taste in my mouth, and most importantly, my teeth are so clean! I will only assume that like Chou Chou it will take a few times before I notice the bicarb taste as much, which I'm fine with!

All in all, I will definitely ditch the toothpaste tubes for these bad boys!! My teeth are amazingly clean, smooth all day long and are actually getting whiter! I also intend to try all the flavours, but I am going to wait until I finish what I have haha!

Cheers Guys!

This is waaaaay overdue sorry guys!

Hi guys!!! Sorry this is so late its actually ridiculous haha!! I'm going to be going through some Lush products that I've been using in my daily routine!

First:

This is a gentle treat for the skin, leaving you soft to
the touch with a buttery popcorn fragrance.

Let The Good Times Roll. It is just that. I absolutely love this product!! I have to admit I never really used Lush cleansers before this one and it is definitely my favourite so far! It smells sort of like caramel popcorn and wow. It feels great! Its lightly exfoliating, I was a bit wary of it before I tried it because of my awful eczema I didn't want anything that would scratch any rashes I had or make them worse. This however, was pure perfection, its almost got the same texture of very very fine sand and it literally took off any dry skin and no more so I was extremely happy!
Overall, I am so happy this is now a permanent product! Because it now has a permanent place in my routine! A little goes a long way and the 100g pot should hopefully last me the three months, if not, ill not complain about buying more haha! All you need to do is take a pea sized amount from the pot and add a little bit of water, a few drops at a time until you get a paste like consistency then you just rub it around your face, voilĂ !

Next in my current skin care regime is:

A deeply moisturising facial serum in solid form that glides
on to leave skin feeling renewed without heaviness.

The Full Of Grace serum bar! I believe each bar has a portobello mushroom in it! Rich in vitamin D among other things. Again, another product that is now a permanent member of my collection! When I'm home from uni at the weekends however, I keep it in the fridge as my mum has the heating on a lot and it does get very melty haha. But basically, you rub a nice generous layer on your hands, or directly on your face, and gently massage it into your face. I like to give it a good massage, I looked up lush facial massage one day and found this video, so what she does with Ultrabland (I have a review of this coming up soon too!) I do with the full of grace! I like to leave it to sit for a few minutes and then finally:

This is a gentle toner with rose and lavender waters
 for simple, effective cleansing.

I use the lovely Eau Roma Toner Water, the lady in the shop told me that because of my eczema this would be lovely as it would leave moisture on my skin, and it does! I love it!! I don't get the acne that I used to because I've changed my birth control so my skin, while my eczema is still there, is generally easier for me to maintain so this is just perfect and I no longer need the Tea Tree Toner. I spritz this onto a cotton pad and wipe off the Full of Grace, I have no need to do anything further as this leaves my skin feeling super soft and my skin tone is so clear and even! Before, My forehead and cheeks were sort of permanently dry and flakey and no amount of prescribed emollient cleared it up, this however, has done the trick! All the wonderful ingredients and vitamins have cured it right up and I no longer feel awkward putting on make-up fearing the flakey forehead haha!

Well there you go my lovelies! A long awaited update!! Sorry if it's a bit wishy washy haha I'm catching up on Sherlock at the same time. =P
Cheers!

"

Hi Guys!

Ok so I have really problem skin, I suffer from eczema and one of the areas it tend to flare up is my face, I also have been known to get hormone induced acne on my chin, neck and chest, so here is what I do to keep all at bay!!!

First off I fill a bowl or sink with warm/hot water (steamy hot if you want to add a Tea Tree Toner Tab, which is on my 'things I want to try list') I then rub my face with a face cloth dipped in the water.
Next I use my Fresh Farmacy. I use this by getting it wet in my hands and rubbing it in my hands then transferring to my face and then rub it around gently like any other face wash and then rinse off. If you're in a hurry you can just wet your piece of the soap (I wouldn't use the whole thing you get from the shop, cut small chunks off it) and rub it on your face then continue.
Fresh Farmacy is so good for problem skin, "This is like a calamine lotion, but in bar form." as LUSH say, it soothes any itch I have due to my eczema and it fights off spots, and i have to say, I have been using this on my face and neck but not my chest, just to see the difference, and there definitely is a big change, my neck and skin are clear from spots, but my chest is as bad as always, so I'm obv going to start using it all over now haha. This may be a face soap, however, it is not harsh on the skin as normal soaps are, as it actually has very little soap in it (glycerine I think). it has more of a clay texture. I love it!

Next I get a cotton pad, and spray a few sprays of Tea Tree Water and gently wipe around my face and neck with it. This product is also brilliant for acne and has greatly improved my skin tone, another permanent in my routine, next time I go in I am buying a big bottle for sure.

"Comes to the aid of skin that has emergencies"

My next step is putting a small amount of Vitamin E Oil over my face and just rub excess onto my hands to moisturise. I use this oil because I heard somewhere it was good for eczema, to be honest, I'm not sure, but it does moisturise and its healthy so ill use it till its done and then decide if I want to get it again or try something new (suggestions very welcome!).
"Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant which not only revitalises and protects the skin, it also helps combat the damaging effects of free radicals and shields it against the environment."

And finally, if its night ill add some Nivea regenerating night creme, just for the extra boost, sometimes ill even use this during the day however I am looking for a new good day cream.  I don't have much to say about this product except, its simple I don't notice anything particularly different about my skin when I use it, it just is a good moisturiser and does what it says on the tin!

And of course I also have topical cream to fight my eczema but unless its awful I try to avoid putting them on my face as they thin the skin, and years of doing it really can take its toll!

Every other day or two I will also use a face mask, the ones I am in love with are Oatifix which is a banana and oat face mask, it smells like biscuits and it sooo soothing for when I have eczema on my face (like right now, ow!). It doesnt really dry out like most face masks but stays quite moist the whole ten minutes you keep it on. If you have any kind of sensitive skin this is deffinitely for you, it is sooo soothing its unreal. I also have a cat allergy, and i also have a cat (ha!), normally citrezene keeps it at bay but if i forget to take it when I'm home, and touch the cat my face will burn, this would be great to ease that! It would also just give me an excuse to use it haha! 10/10 from me on this one.
"Altogether, a gentle mask that is perfect to feed dry or sensitive skin."

A mask I use more frequently would be LUSH's Mask of Magnaminty, which is as you can probably guess, a minty mask! This is a face and back mask, and I suppose chest also lol and it is designed to fight spots! I find that when I wash this off my skin tone is brilliant and so smooth, due to the nature of my skin I will always moisturise after, but its brilliant! Also another permanent member of my collection. I currently have the smaller pot, at 125g and for me right now that's plenty as i have used this pot about four times and there is barely any gone (if you know LUSH, you'll know, a little goes a long way!). But unlike the other LUSH face masks, these do not need to be kept in the fridge and last around three months (whereas the other ones must be kept in the fridge and due to them being so fresh, they only stay good for around three weeks) and I think this little pot will do me for a good while yet.

So that's it! How I fight my very problem skin! =) If your skin is super sensitive though I would really just suggest stick to basic things, maybe not so many products as I have here as it will just hurt your skin, but for me, this works =)

Thanks for reading!
